Alvarez's face says it all.

No triplets here. I feel like an idiot, the Alpha must think I've gone mad. What the hell did I think I was going to achieve by coming here? Even when he announced he was related to Lori, I should have known he would always protect her, whatever her reasons for hiding my pups.

Alvarez stares at me with his mouth agape. He exchanges an understanding look with his Beta.

"Romero, look. You're still young. I understand you want to be on top of everything happening around you. But tell me, why would Lori hide your pups if she had any?...
