I stood there, staring at Kaelon, waiting for him to say something or anything.

His entire demeanor had changed in the blink of an eye. One minute, he was intense and possessive; the next, he was distant, cold, and distracted. It felt like someone had flipped a switch inside him.

“I will be right back.” I said to him as I stood up to get freshened up in his private restroom.

I returned after a while, brushing invisible wrinkles off my skirt.

He was lost in his pc typing away. I felt the frustration rising in my chest. “Who the fuck was on the phone with you, Kaelon?”...
