The shrill ring of my phone dragged me out of sleep like a slap across the face.
I groaned, blinking rapidly. My arms reached out blindly, sweeping the sheets around until I finally found the phone and yanked it to my ear.
“Hello?” I croaked, my voice raw and dry.
