As I pulled out of the driveway, the soft purr of my car’s engine filled the quiet morning air. The sky was a muted blue, the kind that promised the day could either be a blessing or a disaster, depending on how fate was feeling.
I adjusted the rearview mirror, catching a glimpse of myself. Fuck I looked nervous, curious, and maybe, just maybe, a little bit foolish. Very funny.
