Corvina’s shrill scream matches the vibrations of my heart as I feel like my throat is too hoarse to even make a sound.

My eyes are glued to Fynn who is glaring at me with pitch-black eyes, his chest heaving as he shifts back into his threatening appearance. I thought I would be afraid of him but I can’t seem to get myself to do so as Cassy even purrs lightly in the back of my mind.

At least I get to discover that she's as insane as I am.
