Emily's POV

“He had openly disgraced us. People will say we're in a forbidden relationship.”

Calvin brushed my back, then my cheeks trying to raise my face up. “Don't worry, everything will be sorted out. He has rejected us, meaning we're now free to do anything we wish.”

I couldn't tell with the emotions at the moment if this was Calvin being real or just trying to make me think less. Another major challenge landed across my mind.

“School!” This dropped like an electric bomb, a comment which shook Calvin's countenance as well.
