"You will be staying here as per Asher's order" Alex said the moment he led her into another room before turning around to look back at Beth's rather cold and distant expression.

When she said nothing in reply, he simply muttered under his breath and shot her one more gaze before he quickly walked out the room and the door closed behind him rather loudly.

Beth jumped in fright as though she had been attacked by it. Letting out a breath, she turned and began to look around curiously, taking it in all at once.
