Melissa turns the radio back on and turns the knob until she tunes to the song "Broken Wings" by Mr. Mister. Flávia feels challenged by this action.

"From now on, don't use the radio in the house anymore. Buy yours or listen on your walkman, in the calm of your room. That way my mother-in-law has nothing to complain about."

"What if she breaks into my room and demands that I listen to Mozart?" Flavia spits out the words.

"She won't do that, as my mother is talking to her. I'll look for information about bus departures at the Bus Station for you to leave tomorrow."
