Melissa drinks the entire glass of orange juice like it's brandy and slams the glass down on the table angrily.

"What are you doing here?" She asks, "Come to spoil the party?"

"I was invited by Tiago." Carmen uses Tiago as a trump card, "And so, you didn't answer my question."

"I don't even care about your sister's life anymore!" Melissa responds sourly.

"Well, I keep your husband informed. So I'm going to conclude that it was a happy coincidence."

Elza gets irritated. "Please miss, you are bothering my daughter-in-law."

Carmen looks at Elza in surprise, understanding that she is Josias's mother, and walks away.
