Beto dashes into the nightclub, searching like a lion for his little sister. He passes between the clubgoers, turning his head left and right, looking avidly to see if he can find Vera. The song "Caribean Queen" by Billy Ocean is pounding loudly in his eardrums.

"I wonder if she's already giving herself to some crazy guy in the bathrooms." He grunts.

At the doors of the men's and women's bathrooms, there are indeed some couples making out each other. But Beto can't find his beloved sister. He feels a lump in his throat and his eyes become watery.

"She's gone... She's not here anymore!"
