Pamela is sweeping the living room floor. The radio is playing "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith & Run MC. She sweeps and dances at the same time.

The landline rings and Pamela answers, "Hello?"

Across the way, in the same hospital, Vera starts crying, "Pamela! It's me, Vera! Don't hang up!"

"That's exactly what I'm supposed to do, you stupid one!" Pamela growls.

"No, you need to go to the hospital! Beto was shot, I don't know if he'll survive!"

Pamela is wide-eyed and gaping. Her heart races. After a few seconds of shock, she manages to form the words, "What happened? Where was he shot? Is this a joke?"...
