Vera crosses the Ramos supermarket to go to the bathroom. The venue is being set by Sting's song "If You Love Somebody, Set Them Free".

Vera purses her lips at the irony. She loved Wallace, but now she wants him to be arrested, for him to rot in jail forever.

When she is in the short hallway that leads to the restrooms and drinking fountains, she tenses and her body stiffens. One of the lamps is broken, creating an ominous atmosphere. Vera is afraid of squatting while drinking water from the drinking fountain and being surprised from behind by Wallace.
