"Sela!"

A familiar voice came through, and then I fell into a warm embrace.

It was Carter, and he was holding me tenderly.

"Sela, I am here, don't be afraid, don't be afraid." He soothed me gently.

I let Carter hold me, not daring to look up, afraid that I might lose this warm harbor for a moment.

Carter suddenly became furious and said icily to Adam, "Go away, stop harassing my wife and go away immediately."

Adam walked away.

But that terrible feeling is still there.

"Sela, don't be afraid, I'm here, I'll protect you." Carter hugged me heartily and kept reassuring me.
