“What’s it, Franco?” I looked up from my journals. As he stood by the door grinning from ear to ear. Like he won some lottery.

“She’s awake! The Luna is awake!”

Why did my heart jump, not happiness but something else?

“Oh.” I mouthed.

“You don’t seem happy alpha.”

“I’m happy.” I faux a smile and close the journal I was reading.

“You’re going to meet her now, should I prepare the horse.”

“Oh, yes.” I faked and laughed. Like some kind of a fool. I didn’t know what was wrong with me, I’ve been feeling so guilty ever since. I don’t know how to approach her....
