Senna’s POV

Through Verity’s eyes, the forest tore past us. Her paws hit the ground as we ran. The fire was everywhere and spreading very quickly. The flames singed her fur as she ran.

Everyone else was close behind us. We could hear them following us as we ran. With the fire spreading, Verity ran as fast as she could. Before long, we burst through the trees and out onto the beach.

The moon was high overhead and full. It cast a soft glow onto the beach. There were torches lit in a semi-circle, illuminating the beach.
