Senna’s POV

The carriage passed through the outer gates without stopping at the Marrow estate. I wondered for a brief moment if I’d lost my mind. I was sitting beside the man who I’d been convinced wanted to kill me. I was letting him take me to his home.

The night was dark as the carriage sped past the streets. He’d left his own gala to come and get me. As we approached his estate, I could see the ballroom lit up. People were still inside. Dancing and eating and laughing.
