We came through the waterfall fast. So fast, that I didn’t quite believe what I was seeing when we stepped through.

Junie was right. This was all my fault. I never should have trusted that noble born boy. I’d been a fool and I’d put us all in danger.

But he was a child. That had clouded my judgment. A child, yes. But that didn’t make him innocent by default.

Senna’s words had stung. She was right. I’d built the island for her, and her alone. It wouldn’t bend to anyone else. Not unless someone else on the island had a flora wolf.
