Amanda sighed deeply, she stared at her son digging into the plate with no emotion. The last time she had seen him smile was a day before his intended wedding. Everything had been fine before the unfortunate incident that occurred.

Standing up, Asher murmured a good bye and left the house without sparing his mother a glance. She teared up, Fred alighted the stairs, noticed her countenance and he made a move to hold on to her.
