Amara’s POV.

A week had passed since the incident, and our relentless search for Dianne continued. We searched for her all hours of the day and night. We combed through the nearby woods and interrogated every pack we came across, but our efforts yielded no results.

As the days went by, our search seemed more and more pointless. The path we were following had disappeared and every clue we pursued ended up leading nowhere.

I had been Damien’s constant companion, by his side throughout our search. I could see how much the situation was weighing down on him, how desperate he was to find his sister, and yet the reality...
