After Commander Iris passed away, I found myself consumed by the need to find her killer. It had been a week since her death, and there were no new leads. The lack of progress was taking a toll on me. I wondered who could have committed such a crime.

I rested my head on the kitchen island, feeling at a loss for what to do. I was awash in possibilities. I had been contemplating my next steps and what I would do if I caught the culprit.

I probably looked like a zombie by now, with dark circles under my eyes and pale skin. Even Damien seemed concerned...
