Although they still treated her with disdain, Sibyl could feel a hint of wariness in their behavior.

It must be because of Carl, Sibyl thought.

Even Carl’s attitude towards her had changed. The most obvious change was that Sibyl was moved to another room, and that room turned out to be Carl’s!
