Faye's POV

"What's going on? Are you okay?" Hedy quickly sent a message.

I chuckled and replied, "I'll tell you when we meet."

Upon seeing me, Hedy gave me a big hug. "Feels like I haven't seen you in ages!" Hedy "complained," "You ignored me for several days..."

She was referring to the days I was upset because of Liam.

"Something happened..." I tried to explain.

Hedy was a bit nervous. "Is it something bad?"

I thought for a moment, "Sort of, but not really... the outcome is good."

I briefly told her about what happened between Liam and me, leaving out the part about Liam's heightened sense of smell...
