“Hold the elevator!”
Jack stuck his hand between the elevator doors to stop them from closing. As they whooshed back open, he saw Dianna making her way toward him. She hadn’t seen him yet, and he had a rare moment to observe her without her in attack mode. She moved slower than he was used to seeing her and he was about to open his mouth and make a sarcastic comment when he noticed she wasn’t just moving slower; she was limping.
Jack frowned.
Was she injured?
“Are you—”
