That was okay. The woman was busy, even Mia could see that and appreciate the pressure she was under. Plastering her smile back on her face she went back over to the security guard and flashed her card at him. “I have my security pass,” she said.
“Just scan it at the elevator and you’ll be good to go,” he replied gruffly.
“Thanks for your help,” Mia said, practically skipping past him to the bank of elevators.
She joined the queue and when the elevators opened she slid her card past the reader with all the others as they boarded the lift and pressed the button for The Playbook.
