“Everything isn’t a fight, dear.”
When a feminine voice corrected me softly, I flinched, raising my head in a jiffy. The hint of motherly warmth in that tone made me cry more as a lady in white said,
“Carrying the weight of the past is hard. It’s ok to feel overwhelmed, Azlynn.”
A middle-aged woman with honey-brown eyes identical to Xavion didn’t need any introduction. I recognized his mother, Lady Sabrina at first glance. She came to visit me with a tray in her hand, smiling gracefully.
