It was finally the day. And it was happening.
After weeks of preparations, endless dress trials, indecisive flower choices, and Killian trying (and failing) to let me do anything alone — today was the day.
Emily and Killian’s mom flitted around me like gentle butterflies as I sat in front of the vanity mirror, already dressed, already glowing.
“You look so beautiful,” Killian’s mom whispered, her hands fluttering to her chest, teary-eyed.
“I tell her that every day,” Emily said proudly, “She looks like a literal goddess.”
