The hours dragged slowly.

I spent them running around the hospital, sorting bills, talking to the doctor, arranging meals for Nolan, holding his hands every few minutes just to make sure he was still warm.

But no matter how much I tried to focus on taking care of him, my mind wouldn't settle.
