Watching Darius leave just like that was like poking the tip of a knife in my chest. I knew it would hurt, but I was yet to believe that the knife would actually be pushed in.
My hand slid into the pocket of my dress, feeling the paper stiff at my side. Well, there was plenty of time to tell him. Bad days wouldn't last.
I made my way to my room after that and spent the whole day reading novels. Waiting for the right time to see Darius.
