MELISSA
I twirled around in a dress as grey as the clouds overhead. The only difference was that mine was filled with sparkling lines that hung on the dress in rows.
I put a scarf around my neck, and performed a solemn expression. I had faith in Darius, and I was finally seeing him after so long. Naturally, I ought to let my happiness spill, but I had to pretend to be solemn when he came out with Hazel limp in his arms.
I threw myself to the floor, looking at the mirror and practicing how I'd gasp when Darius came out with Hazel.
