I'd barely made it to our bedroom where I intended to take two pillows and retire for the night in the guest room when I felt him standing behind me.

"What are you doing?" He panted breathing heavily down my neck.

The words he said to me earlier replayed in my head, sapping me of any energy I had to reply to him. The only thing that would make me feel better was lying down to sleep and I wasn't going to let him rob me of that.
