Brianna’s POV

I heaved a sigh of relief after the doctor assured me that mom just passed out due to exhaustion and not her condition. She has lung cancer and the doctor recommended that she undergo chemotherapy and radiation therapy. I haven't talked to her about her sickness. She doesn’t even have any idea that Diane told me about her condition.

“You have to decide, Miss Quinn. Her condition is not that bad yet. So, having these therapies will help her recover.”

I nodded. “I’ll talk to her, doctor.”

I went to my mom's hospital room after that. Diane was inside, looking at her own fingers.
