I walked into the office with shaky legs.
“Morning,” someone called from the desk cluster.
“Hey,” I muttered back, hugging my laptop like a shield.
But inside?
My chest was buzzing. My skin is hypersensitive. My whole body was begging for something I couldn't name out loud. For him.

I tried working.
I really did.
But I kept catching my reflection in the black of my monitor. And in that glassy darkness, I swore I saw him.
“God,” I whispered, rubbing my thighs together. “What the hell is happening to me…”
