Alex's POV

“Alex. How did you do?” She wanted to conclude her statement, but stopped when she saw the police woman. Turns out, they had already had the encounter before.

“I have told you already, the person you're looking for isn't here.” She told the police woman.

“I think I can confirm that for myself now.” Maria said to her as she showed the search warrant.

“Can we come inside?” I asked her.

She had no option, but to allow us inside at this point. I could see her unsettling demeanor and tell that she was in a state of crisis.
