“She brought the family heads to come talk with Eric to take her back.”

Exactly my suspicion.

My lips parted, as the family heads approached, I bowed in greeting but my eyes didn't leave my sister. I observed the family heads didn't respond to my greeting even by reaction rather they glared at me with grave faces.

Only God knows what Alice must have told them.
