Yvonne's POV

My mother's eyes were red which proved that she must have been crying ever since Emilia exposed everything to her. She noticed me standing there and didn't say anything; she just walked past me without a word. I raised my brow in surprise not expecting to be ignored. I wanted to taunt her but I remembered what I promised Alex earlier. I swallowed my words and continued making my way to the kitchen to get something to eat as I was hungry.

When I got to the kitchen they had already finished preparing lunch, I went and got some cookies while I waited for Carlos to come back...
