She woke up at seven to her alarm and his arm still around her.
She lay still for a moment. The hotel room grey with early light. The lilac dress on the wardrobe door. The sounds of the town starting outside.
She felt him wake up — the specific shift of someone moving from sleep to consciousness — and his arm tightened briefly before loosening.
