Rosemary’s scream echoed through the chaotic night. The gunfire had stopped, but its echo still pounded in everyone’s ears. Adrian’s body dropped to his knees, blood pouring from his left chest, while behind them, the police arrived—rushing in to seize Cassandra, who still gripped the pistol with trembling hands.

“Let me go! She’s the one who should’ve died! I’m the one who deserves to be loved, not her!” Cassandra shrieked hysterically, her eyes wild, her tear-streaked face twisted in madness and fury.
