The woman from earlier was still stuck in my head.
And so was the flash drive burning a hole in my pocket as I navigated through traffic.
She didn't look familiar. But the way she'd looked at me… it was the look of someone who knew a lot about me... Someone who has been watching me.
The sudden buzzing of my phone made me flinch.
I glanced down, then exhaled as I saw Helena's name, some of the tightness in my chest easing.
At least she wasn't furious enough to ignore me completely.
"Babe—"
"Did you talk to her yet?" We said simultaneously, then paused.
