I gasped awake, the bright white light blaring directly into my eyes from the ceiling making me wince.

"Ugh," I groaned, my eyes squeezing shut for a moment. "Where am I?"

Feeling a bit out of it, I slowly sat up, my hands moving to my chest and feeling over my heart to check if it was still beating, then I let it crawl toward where the needle had pinched me as the memories from before I passed out flooded into my head.
