I didn’t expect that I would bump into someone I knew in this place. And it was Leana out of all people.
“You?”
Leana smiled at me and shrugged. “Yeah. Me.” She glanced at Eva, looking at me again, and then back to Eva. “Do I know you?” Her forehead wrinkled when she asked that.
While Leana slipped her hands into the front pocket of her jeans, Eva tilted her head and stared back at her. “Are you… my brother’s friend?”
“And who’s your brother?” Leana moved her chin toward me. “Him?”
