After talking with my family and Andrew, and after much contemplation, I decided to take a break from college. Everything that had happened left me falling behind, and I couldn’t catch up—not right now.

There wasn’t much I did during my time off. I studied to make up for what I had missed and reviewed my lessons. Other than that, I spent my time training with Leana. Day by day, my fighting skills improved—but so did Leana’s. So I wasn’t sure when I would actually surpass her. Maybe someday.

Everything was normal—almost boring, even—until one morning when I woke up and found that Andrew was no longer beside me....
