I always had those boring parties, because usually in one year, the family parties mentioned by Mom were usually held four to five times. Ben and I did not really get along there, but there were a few cousins we were close with.

"Yes, Lizzy. You and Ben should still attend family events. Family bonds are important, because they can become friends or even hidden enemies."

Mom's face looked serious. Yes, she was right. Let alone family, even people who were already friends could do both: be a loyal friend or a harmful enemy.
