"Are you sure you do not want to accompany Lizzy at the hospital? You can wait for her in the VIP lounge." Mom offered Sammy an option. Let's hope he did not take it. I wanted to be alone.

"I am sure, Aunty. I have a class at one o'clock, so I can't go there." Sammy refused politely and came up with a pretty convincing reason.
