If it wasn't for his quick reflexes, my face would've been smashed into the concrete floor, or, if I was lucky, I could've crawled away and only suffered a few bruises instead of a broken nose. Luckily, Jayden rushed to catch me, and I found my face buried in the fabric of his coat, my hands clinging to his shoulders and arms as I struggled to regain my balance.
