After dinner, we made our way back to the hotel, feeling happy and full.

"Thanks so much for agreeing to come with me," Mom said as we entered the room. "I had a great time."

"Me too," I replied. "To be honest, I think I misjudged you, Mom. You're more fun than I would have thought."

"Oh, you're so sweet," Mom said, playfully pushing my shoulder. "But now that we're back, want to watch TV until we're ready for bed?"

"Sure," I shrugged, flopping onto the covers and grabbing the remote. I found a comedy show and let it play.
