Mrs. Carson patted my shoulder affectionately. "Yes, you usually are very helpful, and I always appreciate it. But pick something else... something appropriate this time. Watching a movie, playing a game, something like that."

With a sigh, I racked my brain. What could we do that would be appropriate... but maybe with the potential for more? After a few moments, I had an idea.

"Why don't we go for a swim?" I suggested.

Mrs. Carson looked at me incredulously. "Luke, you haven't wanted to use our swimming pool in years."

"Seems like the perfect time to go back then, doesn't it? I've got my trunks."
