Alice brow twitched.

She has been restless after Alex made his last sentence to her a few minutes ago.

Jim can't possibly be involved in anything shady or any form of criminality. But Alex wouldn't say words that have no truth in them.

"Of course not. I cannot understand why Alex will treat you like a common stranger. I cannot take his excesses anymore…"Alice complained.

She doesn't want Jim to suspect her for anything. She must pay close attention to her husband henceforth.
