“Uh… who am I meeting?” Veronica asked, with an unsure look on her face.

Her eyes darted from her mother to her father, hoping that one of them would at least give her a clue about who she was going to meet.

“Someone special.” Her mum replied, beaming with a warm smile. “REALLY special.” She stressed, her eyes sparkling with emphasis.

“Come on, let's go.” She urged, and winked at her husband.

He winked back at her, and Veronica caught them, her eyes narrowing in reluctance as a faint crease formed between her eyebrows.
