"That's not me," I said, but Penny didn't respond. I called out, "Serena!" but there was still no answer.

I sped up, arriving at the old water tower. I looked around but didn't see anyone. I parked my car and got out, yelling "Serena!" again.

But the area was empty, and I was met with silence.
