“Is he dead?” Kora rushed to my side, checking if the man was truly lifeless. “Oh my God! Oh my goodness!” I gasped, tears streaming down my face.

“Babe, the guy is dead,” she whispered, and I stood frozen in place, more tears falling.

She quickly typed on her phone, and it wasn’t long before Bryan arrived with the police.

“Mine,” he called softly, and I broke down, sobbing as he pulled me into his arms, rubbing my back to soothe me.

“I’m here, everything’s under control. Trust me, baby,” he repeated over and over again as I cried.
